Based in Melbourne Victoria, I offer a variety of services and packages using a tiered, customisable structure to capture your most important moments. This includes both photography and videography, with options to combine them for a smoother, more seamless experience. I specialise in weddings, couples, families, events and branding, tailoring each approach to tell the story you are creating.
Behind the Lens
I'm Rhys Kirk, the heart and lens behind A Rhys Kirk Visual or …ARK Visual, a Melbourne-based photography and videography service. My passion lies in capturing the authentic connection between couples. Known for my easy-going personality and what folks often describe as my infectious "golden retriever energy," I strive to create a relaxed and enjoyable experience for every couple and brand I work with.
My journey in photography started in my teenage years filming parkour videos with my friends. Naturally, whilst filming in front of a bridal store I was approached by a wedding photographer who pulled me into the world of weddings, fashion, portraits and content creation.
I have a deep love for wedding photography and capturing the true aesthetic moments throughout the day, especially the moments that you may not have noticed.
Outside of photography I am a Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Muay Thai coach + fighter, soccer player, parkour athlete and fire performer. Photography has been the web that entwined my passions.
I want to work with people who have a story to tell. People whose values align with mine, who appreciate the subtly in the details and the art of storytelling. I want your true authentic self, the raw emotions and to capture the moments that you will relive with your friends, family children and the generations to come.
